  • 442 exhibitors from 17 countries presented a very extensive range of products and services for painters as well as finishers and plasterers
  • greater international participation: 17 percent of the visitors came from abroad
  • sucessful targeting of new visitor groups - 35 percent of the visitors attended for the first time - due to the extended range of fringe events that appeals to these target groups

Paint - Finishing & Facade, the leading international trade fair, has opened its doors at three-year intervals since 1972, with Munich and Cologne taking turns in holding the fair.

Its contents are as multifarious as its name - 'Farbe' is the German word for 'colour'. Paint - Finishing & Facade is rightly considered a leading trade fair event for paint, decorating, building protection, plaster, stucco and dry construction. With its wide and varied range of products, methods and materials, it is the big magnet for visitors from the industry. The products presented range from innovative high-tech products to products for the traditional crafts.

Of the professional visitors, the majority are craftspeople who want to get an idea of the current range of products offered: painters and finishers, stucco-workers, plasterers and drywallers, interior decorators and flooring layers. A remarkable feature of this trade fair is that a very large share of the professional visitors are decision-makers. In addition, the visitors include employees from the wholesale trade, from architects' offices and design planning offices as well as from the residential construction industry and graduates from technical schools or training schools for master craftspeople.
